Sit: Isaiah Crowell

This is likely going to be a theme for the year – sit your players against the Ravens. Last week we recommended avoiding Joe Mixon completely against Baltimore and their dominant defense, and this week it would be wise to approach Crowell the same way. It wasn’t just the running backs who couldn’t get it going against the Ravens – Andy Dalton had one of the worst quarterback performances in history on Sunday as they completely dominated in all phases of the game.

There wasn’t a lot of room for running against Pittsburgh for Crowell as he could only muster up 33 yards on 17 carries, but he added a 33 more through the air on a pair of catches. This week, it’ll be even harder to put up fantasy points and I wouldn’t recommend starting any Browns against Baltimore.

When debating whether to start Crowell for his volume or another player, side with someone else who has more upside and chance at making a splash play. Crowell might well be the only back receiving the carries (Duke Johnson has essentially converted into a wide receiver at this point), but when they all go for one or two yards each, it won’t help you. Now is not the time to play your Browns.
