Tarvarus McFadden

Cornerback, Florida State

One of the biggest surprises of the first week of the NFL season was the play of the Los Angeles Rams. Sure, they were playing an Andrew Luck-less Indianapolis Colts team, but still, they looked very good for the first time in a long time. The Rams are trying to build up their roster the right way, and the hope is 2016 first overall pick Jared Goff was the right choice as the team’s franchise quarterback.

With their first round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, they should look to add some depth to their secondary. When it comes to cornerbacks in this draft class, there are few better than Tarvarus McFadden. The star from Florida State is one of the more versatile players in college football, and could play any position in the secondary at the next level.

The NFC West looks like division that the Rams could be competitive in in a few years. If Goff can continue to improve, and new head coach Sean McVay pushes the right buttons, they could certainly leapfrog teams in their division. This thing is a couple of years away, but bringing in talented players like McFadden will surely speed up the rebuilding process, and maybe make them competitive by the time they move into their new stadium.
