Ronald Jones II

Running Back, USC

The Philadelphia Eagles put on a nice display on Sunday against division rival Washington, putting up the most points of any team in the NFC East. Second-year quarterback Carson Wentz got off to another hot start to the season, and he is likely to continue to improve in his development this season. This is an Eagles team that could become the best in the NFC East within a couple of seasons, and they need to keep putting weapons around Wentz.

Over at USC, Ronald Jones II is having a monster season. The junior has scored at least two touchdowns in each of the first two games, and has his USC Trojans in line to be a possible College Football Playoff team. While all the talk focuses around quarterback Sam Darnold, Jones is quietly making his play to be one of the best running backs in the NFL.

The Eagles brought in LaGarrette Blount this offseason, and they still have the aging Darren Sproles on the roster. Philadelphia needs to bring in a back who can be a three-down back, and Jones can do just that. Jones has the talent to run the ball 20 times a game, and make plays in the passing game, which means he would give Wentz the kind of multi-talented back he needs behind him if he is going to continue to grow.
