Calvin Ridley

Wide Receiver, Alabama

The Baltimore Ravens tried to make up for the retirement of Steve Smith Sr. this offseason by bringing in Jeremy Maclin. In the season opener this past Sunday, Maclin looked good, catching a Joe Flacco touchdown pass in his debut with the team. This wide receiver unit is pretty solid, but the team should look to bring in some more depth at the position via the 2018 NFL Draft.

One of the best wideouts in the 2018 NFL draft class is Calvin Ridley, who is a star wide receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Ridley has that uncommon ability to really take the top off a defense, and he should be even better at the next level. The Crimson Tide are a run-first offense, but if he went to the Ravens, he would finally be in an offense that looks to pass first, and run second.

Ridley has incredible speed, which would play well with Flacco in Baltimore. Flacco has one of the strongest arms in the league, and he loves to send the ball deep down field. If the Ravens want to bring in a player for the offensive side of the ball next April, they may go running back, but Ridley would be too talented a player to pass up this late in the first round.
