Jaire Alexander

Cornerback, Louisville

In a classic NFC East matchup, the Dallas Cowboys played host to the New York Giants on Sunday night. Without Odell Beckham Jr., and with a sub-par offensive line, the Giants were no match for the defending division champs. The Cowboys easily beat the Giants, solidifying their spot as the best team in the division for at least one week.

As they look towards the 2018 NFL Draft, they have to figure they will be selecting late in the first round. With that pick, they should look to add to their secondary, as it was decimated by free agency this past offseason. There are some talented cornerbacks in this draft class, and Jaire Alexander from Louisville is definitely one of them.

Alexander often gets overshadowed because his quarterback is out there winning Heisman Trophies, but he is an elite talent in his own right. He is one of the more versatile players in college football, and would give the Cowboys a great option in the return game, as well as being the top corner on their roster. This Cowboys team is going to be good for a long time, and making sure they bolster their secondary in a pass-happy NFC East is a priority at this point.
