Saquon Barkley

Running Back, Penn State

The Cleveland Browns went into Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Sunday, and they actually put together a solid effort. In fact, they only lost to their division rival by three points, as their young defense did a nice job holding the Killer B’s in check. They are really building something solid in Cleveland, and while they are certain to lose more than they win this season, it is no longer a hopeless situation.

In the second round last year, the Browns selected DeShone Kizer to be their quarterback of the future. Due to the talent on the roster, Kizer ended up being the quarterback of right now, so I do not expect the Browns to take a quarterback in 2018 as well. After drafting defense with their top pick in 2017, they should look to add to the offense soon, and Saquon Barkley would be a perfect player for a rebuilding Browns franchise.

Barkley is an incredible physical specimen, and has helped put Penn State football back on the map. He runs hard, has great speed, and is the kind of runner who can make people miss anytime he gets the ball. In the NFL, he is going to give whatever team he goes to a dual-threat option in the backfield, and the Browns could certainly use that kind of versatility on their roster.
