2. Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos

Two storied franchises meet up in a Sunday afternoon game that’s sure to bring a ton of action. Both come off Week 1 wins, but the Broncos are on a short week after a 24-21 win on Monday Night Football.

The Broncos certainly have home-field advantage in this game, as Sports Authority Field provides one of the most difficult places to play in all of the NFL, but don’t let that sway your decision. The Cowboys are still the more talented team in this matchup.

I’ll take Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott over Trevor Siemian and the Broncos run game. Don’t get me wrong, Siemian played mistake free, but wasn’t anything special. He was a seventh round pick for a reason. Elliott’s situation is still up in the air, but from the looks it, he should be good to go in Week 2. Plus, it’s hard to bet against the rock wall that is the Cowboys offensive line.

What to watch for in this game? The Cowboys offensive line against the Broncos pass rush. Tyron Smith and La’el Collins up against Von Miller and Shaq Barrett is going to be fun to watch. Collins has been talked about as the weak link for this unit, but didn’t show any signs of that last week. He handled the Giants pass rush and put Jason Pierre Paul in his place. If he can continue this type of play, it’s going to be hard to get any kind of pressure on Dak Prescott.

The last time these two teams met in 2013 resulted in 51-48 shootout that ended in favor of the Broncos. Sunday’s game won’t see this same result, but I’m expecting a good one. Give me the Cowboys by a touchdown as they squeak out a win in Denver.
