1. Craig Kimbrel

Craig Kimbrel is one of the best closers in baseball. When the Red Sox are leading and Kimbrel comes into a game, there is a good chance the game is over. Kimbrel is lights out, and when a game is close the Red Sox can always count on Kimbrel to close it out.

This season Kimbrel is no different and is flat-out dominant. He currently has a 1.50 ERA, 0.667 WHIP and a 5-0 record. Kimbrel also has 32 saves compared to four blown saves which are very good. Kimbrel also has a ridiculous strikeout to walk ratio of 112 strikeouts to 12 walks, showing how good his command is. Meaning, Kimbrel is a top-five closer in the league and closing out games will only help in September and lead them to the playoffs.

When it comes to closing out games in September and then the playoffs, having Kimbrel come in will only help Boston’s chances to win. And when they win it will only help them make the playoffs something that is a given now.
