20. Napoli

Like Liverpool, Napoli ooze class in attacking areas. Also like Liverpool, the Serie A outfit will leave gaps at the back.

The latter trait saw Napoli punished by a capable Shakhtar Donetsk side in Kharkiv. Napoli started with perceptive schemer Marek Hamsik in midfield, jet-heeled winger Lorenzo Insigne out wide and technically gifted target man Arkadiusz Milik through the middle.

Yet all their attacking mite looked for naught when Shakhtar scored twice before the hour mark. Milik got one back, but not even the introduction of substitutes Dries Mertens and Allan could help the visitors get back on level terms.

Maurizio Sarri’s squad is good enough to get out of Group F. But flattering to deceive on opening night has left the Italians with little room for error.
