1. PSG

No club is better-placed to challenge Europe’s elite than PSG. Propped up by massive outside investment, Les Parisiens have built a formidable squad, highlighted by an awesome front three.

Few clubs, not even Barca and Real, can boast a trio as dynamic as Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani. All three scored in Glasgow as PSG turned on the style right from the off.

The emphatic win maintained the club’s laudable scoring run in this tournament, per OptaJean:

There’s no doubt this trio is electric, but consider the quality of depth at PSG. Julian Draxler, Lucas Moura and Javier Pastore can also be unleashed on defences.

It’s not even all about attacking talent. Midfield is also strong thanks to Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta, Adrien Rabiot and Angel Di Maria.

A squad this deep and gifted is led by a manager who knows what it takes to win in Europe. Unai Emery won three Europa League titles with Sevilla, and seems primed for a bigger prize with PSG.

It will take a brave doubter to bet against this squad being involved in the final reckoning of this season’s Champions League.
