ORCHARD PARK, NY – SEPTEMBER 10: Charles Clay /

Charles Clay has recently become quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s number one option, and against Carolina that should continue.

Charles Clay may be the best receiver in Buffalo, and he happens to play tight end. At a position that shows so much variance, opportunity is everything.

Clay has becomes quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s preferred target. In last week’s win versus the Jets, Clay saw nine targets and converted four catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. The Bills travel to Carolina where they will face a defense that gave up the second most touchdowns to tight ends last year.

Buffalo will likely be trailing later in the game opening the door for Taylor and Clay to make some connections. The new pass-catchers for the Bills simply do not have the comfort level that the trusty Clay has developed with Taylor.

The potential for Clay to find the end zone is high. Carolina will likely sell out to stop LeSean McCoy and Buffalo’s potent rushing attack. This will leave the door open for Taylor on play action to find Clay often.

In both daily, where Clay comes at a low price tag, and for season-long, he makes a great play. This is a prime option for those players who like to stream tight ends. Clay will likely come up a bunch for those players as Buffalo does not look like a very good team and will be forced to throw the ball more than they’d like.

The final matchup on the list is a defense that was dominant last week and gets another team that could help it’s stay atop the fantasy ranks.
