Ezekiel Elliott looks to have picked up right where he left off last season.

Do not let the tough defensive matchup fool you, Ezekiel Elliott is a must-start this week. Against the impressive front four of the New York Giants last week, Elliott continued to impress. The Cowboys offensive line, after two key personnel losses, are still the most dominant in the league.

This week the Cowboys get to play the Denver Broncos, a feared defense, especially through the air. The unit is vulnerable through the ground. Last year they allowed the fifth-most rushing yards in the league. They did hold Chargers’ running back Melvin Gordon to just 3 yards per carry in !eek 1. Los Angeles’ line is nowhere near the caliber of the Cowboys and Elliott excels at making people miss, where Gordon struggles.

According to Pro Football Reference, the Cowboys, with Elliott getting 25+ touches are 6-0. They will look to slow the game down, and let Elliott get going.

With Elliott looking in line for 20+ touches, the opportunity for scoring is also there. The Cowboys showed a desire to throw in the redzone last week against the Giants, even forcing the ball to Dez Bryant. The wide receivers will face tough challenges on the outside so even if they do choose to throw it could be Elliott out of the backfield that gets the look.

They will need Elliott to move the chains and set up short yardage conversion attempts for Dak Prescott. That’s the key to victory for them in Denver and for Zeke fantasy owners.
