1. Jacksonville Jaguars

Current Quarterback: Blake Bortles (20/34, 223yds, 1 TD/2 INT)

It’s been abundantly clear for a while now that the answer at quarterback in Jacksonville isn’t on the roster. The future star quarterback for the Jaguars is playing his football on Saturdays at the moment, and Bortles is a cinderblock tied to the feet of a team that could contend for an AFC South title this year.

Jacksonville’s defense is legit. The unit was dubbed ‘Sacksonville’ after last week’s drubbing of the Texans and looked solid for most of the matchup against Tennessee. The pitfall is Bortles; you can’t have confidence as a defense when you know any hard work put in is almost instantly undone by Borltes. I wouldn’t trust Bortles to throw a kleenex into a garbage bin, so you can only imagine how mentally defeating it is for a superb Jaguars defense to know their hopes and dreams are in the hands of Bortles.

Kaepernick is an upgrade, even if slightly so. That’s all he needs to be. Jacksonville’s defense is a nasty unit waiting to make a name for itself, and all it needs is a quarterback who can stay out of his own way and just provide a little support. Kaepernick isn’t perfect, but he can at least do that better than Bortles can.
