College Football Week 4: NFL Draft big board rankings
At long last, Arden Key finally returned on Saturday night for LSU. The EDGE defender finally got his first action of the season after offseason shoulder surgery sidelined him for the first part of the season.
To say the least, it was just a bad night all around for the Tigers. Mississippi State came in and asserted their will against LSU and had their way on both ends of the football. Stunned looks were the scene in Baton Rouge.
As for Key, he didn’t have that much of an impact other than half of a sack. The Bulldogs did a great job making him a non-factor on the night. It’s going to take some time for him to really get back into football shape.
If anything, the performance on Saturday night should motivate everyone to pick up their efforts the next time they take the field. Teams are going to key in on wherever he lines up because of the threat he is as a pass rusher.
They play host to Syracuse this week and for Key, it’s a great opportunity to make a little noise. It’s not like he didn’t have any production on Saturday. He just looked like a player that was making his first return from injury.
