College Football Week 4: NFL Draft big board rankings
The Clemson Tigers went on the road and made an argument as to why they should be the top ranked team in college football on Saturday night. They trounced the Louisville Cardinals in a big ACC battle.
It was a bit of a quiet night for Cain but a lot of that can be attributed to the fact that the Tigers committed themselves to running the football on the road. They still had over 300 yards through the air and he managed to finish with 29 yards on four receptions.
It’s still early in the season and with Clemson’s receiving core seeing new faces take over this year, it will take some games for everyone to establish their role. Cain of course is expected to be that next big receiver that will change a game.
Part of the intrigue going into the game was seeing a potential battle between Cain and Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander. Unfortunately, Alexander wasn’t healthy enough to suit up and give everyone that matchup they were hoping to see.
Cain will still get his chance against plenty of other great cornerbacks this season. It wasn’t a huge night for elevating stock, but he’ll have his opportunities as the season continues.
