College Football Week 4: NFL Draft big board rankings
On the road for the first time this year, the UCLA Bruins dropped their first game of the season in a shootout to the Memphis Tigers. It was a bit of a disappointing loss for the Bruins, considering their first two weeks of the season. While they lost by only three points, Josh Rosen could have prevented the loss on Saturday.
While Rosen had another monster stats game with 463 yards and four touchdowns, he did also have two interceptions. One of those interceptions was so bad that it left everyone scratching their heads as to what they just witnessed.
As Rosen had all day to throw and plenty of time to scramble if need be, he decided to throw back across the field off of his back foot. With an ill-advised throw sailing across the way, Tim Hart picked it off and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown.
For a man that has been making great plays all season and putting together some amazing highlights, it was that first blemish that did not turn out so well. It certainly wasn’t a terrible day by any standard but it’s a decision that will be corrected with coaching and film work.
Nonetheless, had that play not happened the Bruins are probably still undefeated right now. Still, it’s not going to affect his draft stock as he displayed too many other good things. It only affects the loss column and not the stock one.
