1. Chris Thompson

Wow, Chris Thompson had a day. He didn’t let us down as a sleeper in Week 1, and if you managed to keep him on your rosters after that, you’ll be sitting pretty heading into this weekend’s matchup against Los Angeles. And he did it again, finding the end zone twice on the ground and totally 106 yards. Now with Robert Kelley set to miss time due to injury, Thompson is a must-add and a strong start moving forward.

Predominantly a third-down receiving back, we should definitely temper expectations of a huge workload or of him being Washington’s “bell-cow” back, But considering his efficiency and the amount of splash plays he has made so far this season, it would be very wise for Washington to involve him even more than I have already. It’s generally risky to assume that a player who only had six touches will be able to repeat performance like this, but although the efficiency would likely drop with more volume, the latter is what we want to see from our fantasy assets.

Samaje Perine is Definitely a top option and you should run to the waiver wire to pick him up assuming he wasn’t already drafted, but if he’s already gone (and he likely is), Thompson is the other player in the backfield who should see an uptick moving forward.
