2. Rashard Higgins

One of my favorite players coming out of the 2016 NFL draft, Higgins has made zero impact in Cleveland thus far. However, the combination of a Cory Coleman injury and Kenny Britt looking like he’s simply given up on the Cleveland experiment, leaves a wide open opportunity for the 2016 fifth round pick from Colorado to exploit.

On Sunday, against one of the best defenses in the NFL, Higgins was able to secure seven catches and 95 yards in a very impressive performance. The next best wide receiver (Ricardo Louis) only had two catches, so it was a major breakout for the youngster who has an opportunity to further his chances and opportunities moving forward. In college, he won with his route running ability and football smarts, but when it came to the NFL combine he just didn’t match up athletically and felt the fifth round. This week, he looked like he could fit in at the pro level and I’m very excited to see what he can do next.

The Browns, for all their struggles, finally look like they have a few players to get excited about including Higgins, Njoku and quarterback DeShone Kizer. Snap this young receiver up and see what he’s made of.
