NFL quarterback rankings, Week 3: Trevor Siemian shines, Carson Palmer stinks
Joe Montana Division
4. Matt Ryan (Prev: 4)
Ryan busted out and made a national name for himself last season, earning league MVP honors on the way to the Super Bowl. Despite a new offensive coordinator, nothing has changed for Ryan, who is throwing or 9.88 yards per attempt and hitting on 69 percent of his throws. Ryan and the Falcons might be the best team in the NFC … again.
3. Drew Brees (Prev: 3)
Brees is in the same boat as Rivers, except he has a Super Bowl ring to latch onto. In the twilight of his career, Brees is stuck on a team with nothing around him, and a coach that ought to be fired. The former Purdue star already has 647 yards and three touchdowns, but New Orleans is 0-2 and inept.

2. Aaron Rodgers (Prev: 1)
Rodgers lost Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb on Sunday night (although both are expected back in short oder) and things went sideways in Atlanta. Even so, Rodgers already has 654 passing yards under his belt, albeit with three touchdowns against two interceptions. Needless to say, Rodgers will b in the MVP race come December.
1. Tom Brady (Prev: 2)
Brady sent all the doubters into retirement after his epic performance against the Saints, going for 447 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-20 win. The future first-ballot Hall of Famer is leading the league with 714 passing yards. Shockingly, he’s fine.
