Derrius Guice

Running Back, LSU

The Washington Redskins have gotten off to a 1-1 start this season, after beating the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The NFC East division is going to be a tough one, and as it stands now, it looks like the Redskins may be the worst team of the four. That could change as the season goes on, but for now, the Redskins will be the first team in the division to pick in April.

While the question is still unanswered as to whether or not the team brings back quarterback Kirk Cousins, we are going to assume they do that this offseason. If he does come back, the team should look to draft a running back in the first round, and LSU’s Derrius Guice would be a nice fit for their offense. Guice is an NFL-ready back, and had it not been for Saquon Barkley, he would be the best running back in this draft class.

Washington needs a lot of help, but giving Cousins a true threat in the backfield has to be one of them. The NFC East is going to be a tough one for the next couple seasons at least, and as the Cowboys did last season, having a good running game can win you the division. Guice has the size and speed to be a playmaker in the NFL from day one, and Washington is looking for some more star power on the offensive side of the ball.
