Tyquan Lewis

Edge, Ohio State

The Philadelphia Eagles are building something special in the City of Brotherly Love, as their move for Carson Wentz a few years back is paying off. In the 2016 NFL Draft, the Eagles selected Wentz No. 2 overall, and has definitely been better than the player taken before him, Jared Goff. The Eagles are off to a 1-1 start this season, which is the same record as three of the four teams in the division.

For the Eagles, they went out and made a bunch of moves this offseason to bolster their offense. Guys like Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith were brought in to help out Wentz in his development, as the team was missing that star wideout option last season. The defense also brought in some talent, but it is that side of the ball  that they should look to draft in April.

Tyquan Lewis of Ohio State is an exciting prospect, and would be perfect for Jim Schwartz’s defense. He is one of the more explosive edge rushers in this draft class, and would add to an Eagles rush that is one of the best in the NFC East. In their division, the Eagles need to be able to  get after the quarterback, which is why bringing in Lewis makes sense towards the middle of the first round.
