Tarvarus McFadden

Cornerback, Florida State

The Green Bay Packers got off to a hot start in Week 1, pulling out the victory at home against the Seattle Seahawks. However, Week 2 brought a familiar foe, as the team played the Atlanta Falcons in a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game. Just like last year, the Falcons exploited the Packers secondary, which could prove to be a recurring theme in 2017.

If the Packers are ever going to stop the Falcons, they need to bring in more talent in their defensive backfield. One name that stands out is Tarvarus McFadden, who is one of the better shutdown corners in all of college football. McFadden is a member of one of the elite secondaries in the ACC, and would be a nice addition to a Packers secondary who seriously struggles against the pass.

McFadden and his Seminoles teammates suffered a tough loss in the season opener, as they had to play Alabama to open up the year. However, McFadden stepped up to the challenge, and went one-on-one with Crimson Tide star wideout Calvin Ridley. He has that kind of ability, and for a team that has been known to get burnt on the outside, he would slide into a starting cornerback job on day one.
