Derrick Nnadi

Defensive Tackle, Florida State

The Detroit Lions surprised a lot of people by making it to the playoffs in 2016, as they were one of two Wildcard teams in the NFC. However, head coach Jim Caldwell has got to be thinking about the missed opportunities from last season, as they blew a serious lead in the NFC North. Still, they have gotten off to another hot start in 2017, and sitting at 2-0, they are in the driver’s seat once again in the NFC North.

On Monday night, the Lions went on the road and beat the New York Giants, thanks to some solid play up front. The truth is, the Giants offensive line is pretty bad, and guys like Ziggy Ansah were able to have their way with them. With their top pick in 2018, the Lions should bring in more talent on the defensive line, and Derrick Nnadi is one of the best interior lineman in the entire 2018 NFL draft class.

Nnadi has proven to be a beast in the weight room during his time at Florida State, and is currently in his final year of eligibility. He has seen a lot during his time with the Seminoles, and would not be as green as some other rookies would be that come out early. He is a leader on and off the field, and with a solid young cast in Detroit already set up, he would be able to come in and add to a roster that should be a playoff contender for the next couple of seasons.
