Micah Kiser

Linebacker, Virginia

The Carolina Panthers were pitiful this past season, though the reason was an understandable one. Just a year removed from making it o the Super Bowl, the Panthers struggled to win six games, and their star quarterback appeared to take a step back. The truth was that Cam Newton was playing hurt the entire season, and he is still shaking off the rust through the fist two weeks of this season.

With Newton back under center, the Panthers have gotten off to a 2-0 start this season. The offense definitely took a hit this past weekend, as tight end Greg Olsen broke his foot, and he is expected to be out for the next two months. Still, we like the Panthers to threaten in the NFC this season, and will likely be picking late in the first round come April.

In the first round, the Panthers should look to bring in middle linebacker Micah Kiser. Sure, the Panthers have one of the best in the game in Luke Kuechly, but he is starting to get up there in age, and his body has taken a pounding. He should have a few good seasons left in him, but it is never to early to bring in the player who will eventually take over as the star middle linebacker of the future.
