Denzel Ward

Cornerback, Ohio State

With their second first round draft pick next April, the Buffalo Bills should look to bring in someone to bolster their secondary. The Bills have a second first round pick because they traded with Kansas City during the 2017 NFL Draft, as the Chiefs traded up to get Patrick Mahomes II. The Bills need a lot of help in getting better on both sides of the ball, and having two first rounders in a very deep draft will certainly help.

There are some fantastic cornerbacks in this draft class, and Denzel Ward from Ohio State is definitely one of them. Ward is a blazing fast runner, posting a 40-time of 4.23, and has tremendous ball-hawking skills. He would be a nice fit for the Bills secondary, as they look to finally make some headway in the AFC East.

The Buckeyes have had one of the best defenses in college football over the last two seasons, and Ward is a big reason why. Ohio State has produced some incredible cornerbacks over the last couple of years, including two that went in the first round in 2017. Ward would add to the long list of premier players developed by the program since Urban Meyer arrived.
