2. Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5) at Los Angeles Chargers

One could argue that the Los Angeles Chargers could be 2-0 instead of 0-2. Losing to a division rival on the road in the Denver Broncos in overtime in Week 1 isn’t shameful. If the Chargers knew what they were doing on special teams, maybe they beat the Miami Dolphins in Carson?

What we do know is that the Kansas City Chiefs are for real with two big wins already on the season: at New England and home versus the KC JV squad Philadelphia Eagles. There was no way Andy Reid was going to let Doug Pederson beat him at Arrowhead.

The question comes in Week 3 of how many Chiefs fans will be at the StubHub Center? It’s near Los Angeles. If the Chiefs get Rob Riggle and Paul Rudd to show up, you have to love the Chiefs’ chances of getting to 3-0. They are only laying 2.5 points on the road. The Chiefs can lay up to 4.5 and still cover on Sunday.

Frankly, Kansas City is too even-keeled to stumble on the road in Los Angeles. The Chargers are a bit too frenetic to beat a division rival that has Super Bowl aspirations in the early part of the year. Los Angeles could beat Kansas City in Arrowhead later in the year, but Kansas City is rolling. Take the Chiefs to win and cover as the slight road favorite.
