Ric Flair discussed the recent health scare that almost saw his life end, as well as dealing with his alcoholism

Recently, we almost lost one of the greatest legends the professional wrestling business has ever known. The “Nature Boy” Ric Flair was admitted to the hospital after experiencing some stomach pains last month, and as time went on, the reports were less than optimistic. However, in true Flair fashion, he was able to kick out from death and was able to pull through.

Despite pulling through, though, Flair still has a long road ahead of him. He was in such bad shape that his life almost did come to an end, and he has finally opened up about what has taken place in his life not just recently, but pretty much throughout his career that led to the health scare he recently had to deal with.

Flair sat down with People and he discussed everything from what took place the day he was rushed to the hospital, to dealing with the alcoholism that he believes was a main factor in landing him in that hospital.  You can watch the full interview with People by clicking the link that is provided in the tweet.

It’s been well-known for years that throughout his storied career, Flair was a big partier. He was always the life of the party as the world champion and one of the greatest talents the industry has ever seen, but at some point, all of that catches up to a person as time goes on. It caught up to Flair and almost helped in ending his life, but this scare seems to have thankfully made him turn a corner, admitting that he will never drink again.

For now, we’re all just thankful that Flair’s life didn’t end prematurely, and hopefully he makes those necessary life changes so the “Nature Boy” can stick around with us a whole while longer.
