Seahawks at Titans: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
By John Buhler
The Tennessee Titans will host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon in Week 3. Here is a game preview, the betting odds and a final score prediction.
In one of the more intriguing games of the weekend, the Tennessee Titans will host the Seattle Seahawks for a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday. FOX will have the mid-afternoon telecast with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis in the booth on September 24.
This game features two teams with serious playoff aspirations that are 1-1 through their first two games of 2017. After losing in Week 1, the Seahawks and Titans rebounded to win in Week 2. Tennessee’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars was a solid one, while Seattle’s over the San Francisco 49ers at home has some cause for concern.
These two teams are far from perfect, but look to be the two best in their respective weak divisions. Who will come out on top in Week 3 in Nashville between the Seahawks and the Titans?

Seattle is a defense-first team with a terrible offensive line. The Seahawks are brilliant at home, but below-average away from the Pacific Northwest. However, the Titans aren’t an offensive juggernaut just yet with some defensive vulnerabilities.
If Seattle wins the turnover margin, the Seahawks will come out of Nashville with a sound upset victory on the road. Should Marcus Mariota do enough to sustain a few key drives, then the Titans will be the team improving to 2-1.
In a way, this is a must-win game for both teams. The loser will be 1-2 with just one win against a bad divisional foe. Seattle would have two losses on the road to Green Bay and Tennessee to start the year. Tennessee might look worse with two home losses to Oakland and Seattle.
The pressure is more on the Titans in this one. Seattle knows that the Cardinals, Rams and 49ers aren’t going to catch them in division play. However, the Titans aren’t as lucky. Their biggest challenger might be Jacksonville, but when was the last time the Titans beat the Colts?
