1. James Franklin on not being on College GameDay

If you weren’t around for Saturday’s College GameDay appearance in New York City’s Times Square, you missed one more entertaining skits — even better than Lee Corso’s famous headgear pick.

While Corso didn’t make a real headgear pick this week, rather he dressed up as the Statue of Liberty, he was picked up by guest picker, and famous actor/comedian, Keegan-Michael Key. The famous funny man dressed up like Penn State head coach James Franklin and the resemblance was actually uncanny.

The two looked so much alike, in fact, that James Franklin admitted people thought it was actually him who made the appearance.

You would think that those “100 angry messages” would include people who realized that he was in Iowa for a big game against the Hawkeyes later that night. Sometimes common sense eludes people.

This has to be one of the better quotes of the week, if not the best. A head coach having to even say he wasn’t on GameDay making a joke about himself icing a Georgia State kicker while up 56-0 is ridiculous, but still funny.
