Mark Malone Division

27. Joe Flacco (Prev: 21)

If it wasn’t for an absurd contract, Flacco would be a serious candidate for the bench. He was brutal against the Jaguars, throwing for 28 yards. In Week 1, he didn’t complete a pass during the second half against the Bengals. All told, he has thrown for 366 yards and four interceptions this season.

26. Brian Hoyer (Prev: 28)

Hoyer is the epitome of a good backup-bad starter, but he showed up against the Rams on Thursday night. Still, he’s only at 624 yards and two touchdowns over the first three games, which isn’t exactly a run of success.

25. Josh McCown (Prev: 26)

McCown delivered something many didn’t believe would happen in 2017; the Jets winning a football game. Against the Dolphins, McCown was terrific, hitting on 18-of-23 for 249 yards and a touchdown.

Chris Simms Division

24. Andy Dalton (Prev: 24)

Dalton was ho-hum against the Packers, which generally isn’t good enough to win a game at Lambeau Field. The Bengals need more from Dalton, who is on pace to throw for 3,232 yards and 11 touchdowns.

23. Deshaun Watson (Prev: 25)

Watson may have lost on Sunday, but he was fantastic. The rookie notched his first 300-yard NFL game and helped Houston to the brink of a huge upset against the Patriots. If Watson can continue to build on that performance, the Texans might finally have something at that position.

22. Trevor Siemian (Prev: 19)

Siemian has to move down int he rankings after a horrid showing in Buffalo. Despite playing a Bills team with low expectations, Siemian tossed a pair of second-half interceptions that turned the game’s tide. Still, improvement is there, with the Northwestern product ranking 13th in yards (709) and yards per attempt (7.09).
