2018 NFL Mock Draft: With Jets win, QB no longer guaranteed
By Brad Weiss
The Arizona Cardinals are another NFC West team that has been a disappointment this season, as they are once again one of the more inconsistent teams in the NFL. They are having their issues on both sides of the ball, but the offense is missing their best player at this point. Running back David Johnson is too big of a loss to not make a big impact on what they do, and they are struggling to find playmakers at running back.
On the defensive side of the ball, the team needs to do something to deal with the loss of Calais Campbell. In April, the Cardinals should look to bring in another edge rusher, and Harold Landry is second to only Arden Key in this draft class. Landry is also a seasoned college player, and will leave Boston College having spent all of his eligibility.
In fact, Landry could have been a first rounder last season, but instead returned to college to work on his game. That will wind up paying off in the long-run, and the Cardinals could benefit from having a true pass rusher back in the fold. They have way too much talent to be picking in the top-10, but it looks like that may end up being the case if they continue to play this way.
