3. Washington Redskins at Kansas City Chiefs

This is an underrated matchup that many people might overlook, but expect a shootout on Monday night. The Redskins come off a surprising win where they dominated the Raiders on all sides of the football. The Chiefs continue to find ways to win games and sit alone with the Falcons as the only two undefeated teams left.

Offense, offense and more offense, that’s what we’re going to see. There’s big-play ability on both teams. For the Chiefs, you’ve got Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt. The duo has been leading the way for the Chiefs offense and making Alex Smith look like a top-five quarterback in the league. On the other side, Redskins running back Chris Thompson has exploded onto the scene. The fourth-year running back has totaled 350 yards through three games and is doing most of it in the receiving game. Seemingly without their top offensive weapons, Thompson is taking over that role with ease.

As much as the focus will be on the offense, both teams have played some stellar defense as well. The key to victory is limiting those big plays, whether that means setting the physical tone with the running backs and wide receivers even before they touch the ball, or getting pressure on the quarterback in the pocket. All it takes is one big play to put things out of reach.

Arrowhead Stadium is one of the toughest venues to win in and I like the Chiefs in this one, but it wouldn’t at all surprise me to see things go the other way.
