6. D’Onta Foreman

Foreman has been a solid feature here in my work for FanSided so far this season (and preseason). Ultimately, I think he establishes himself as the best running back in Houston and takes over the back field sooner rather than later, as he proves to be a more effective and powerful rather than current starter Lamar Miller.

I’ve long been a huge fan of Foreman and his running style, combined with his great athleticism and strength. Even though he was a third round pick, he was extremely productive in college, racking up over 2,000 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns in his final year in Texas.

This season, Houston hasn’t been able to run the ball very effectively, but Foreman is slowly but surely being working into the rotation and has many things going for him.

Miller is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry, and has yet to find the end zone. Although Foreman isn’t faring so well himself with only 3.3 yards per carry on 21 carries on the ground, the Texans need to make changes to continue to improve their offense.

The Texans have already made the big move at quarterback and it seems to be paying off as Deshaun Watson has already completely revitalized this team, but soon enough Foreman should see more action and it could be this week as the Texans face a tough Tennessee Titans defense – Miller will struggle.
