5. West Virginia vs. TCU

Do you wanna see a Top 25 matchup between two of the best offenses in the country? Sure you do. West Virginia-TCU is going to be the move for you if that sort of thing interests you. And it should interest you. This weekend, the Mountaineers and Horned Frogs will meet in Fort Worth. This Top 25 showdown will have serious Big 12 implications, especially with TCU rising up the charts to No. 8 in the country.

TCU has been damn impressive this season. They put together one of the best performances this season on Sept. 23. That day, the Horned Frogs tamed the otherwise prolific Oklahoma State offense en route to a 44-31 victory. Gary Patterson’s bunch is doing things we should be accustomed to. They’ve lit up the scoreboard and produced well enough on defense to get by and then some.

Dana Holgorsen’s wizardry knows no bounds, and this year is living proof. WVU’s Will Grier, who of course spent time at Florida before going to Morgantown, has been brilliant. He has amassed over 1,300 yards through the air with 13 touchdowns to just three interceptions. Justin Crawford and Kennedy McKoy have been stout on the ground, with both averaging more than 6.0 yards per carry this year.

With positioning in the Big 12 in mind and a race to keep pace with the Oklahoma Sooners, WVU-TCU should be a dandy and filled with huge implications in the conference.
