Fantasy football 2017: Top 10 waiver wire Week 5 pickups
9. Charles Clay
A returner to this list is Buffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay. In Week 3, we highlighted him as someone to pay attention to after heavy usage in Weeks 1 and 2, but he had a poor game against the Denver Broncos and their stubborn defense.
This week against Atlanta, Clay returned to form as he was the leading receiver for the Bills with five catches and 112 yards, including a 44-yard strike from Tyrod Taylor. He looked dynamic and much more than just a tight end and Taylor looks to be extremely comfortable throwing the ball his way.
Clay is the team’s leading receiver with 227 yards and two touchdowns on 18 catches and should be started every week. With receiver Jordan Matthews due to undergo thumb surgery, Clay could shine even more.
