Fantasy football 2017: Top 10 waiver wire Week 5 pickups
5. Willie Snead
I listed Snead as a potential sleeper for the weekend with his matchup against the Miami Dolphins in London, but unfortunately, he didn’t suit up for the game as he is not fully ready to go after a hamstring injury even though his three-game suspension has now come to an end.
Moving forward, he shouldn’t be on any waiver wires. Find space for him if you can. Drew Brees is playing outstanding football this season, and astonishingly the Saints are the only team in the NFL yet to turn the ball over on offense. The vet has thrown for eight touchdowns and no picks so far.
For two weeks in a row, the Saints have produced convincing wins and look a little better than what their first two weeks of action would have suggested. The issue with picking up any Saints at the moment is that they have a bye week next week, but the good news, especially for us need, is that Snead will be fully healthy and ready to go when they come out of it and host the Detroit Lions in week six.
