Fantasy football 2017: Top 10 waiver wire Week 5 pickups
4. Jaron Brown
For the past few years, there has always been speculation about who will be the second receiver to Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona. Michael Floyd was due to be the next up, but he fizzled out with a very disappointing career. John Brown was a star in his rookie season and looked to be an outstanding asset opposite the veteran – but last season, he was diagnosed with a sickle-cell trait and has suffered ever since. JJ Nelson started off the season with a bang and thrust himself into the spotlight for fancy owners with a couple of long touchdowns.
However, it looks like Jaron Brown is the man who Carson Palmer is looking to and the team favors on the opposite side of Fitzgerald. Let’s compare the production of the two in the last three weeks:
Even though Arizona took part in a field goal fest in Week 4, Brown has heavily involved and hauled in eight balls for 105 yards. According to Rich Hribar, he’s second in the league in routes run for the season and tied-eighth in targets in the last three weeks. He’s a fantasy starter.
