Minkah Fitzpatrick

Cornerback, Alabama

The Cincinnati Bengals were hoping to get a good season going in 2017, as they were basically fighting for head coach Marvin Lewis’ job. Well, that has not been the case so far this season, and all signs point to them picking early in the 2018 NFL Draft. They have played better the last two weeks, but they currently have only one win, and that came against the Cleveland Browns.

With their first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, they should look to bring in a player to solidify their secondary. Adam Jones is starting to get up there in age, and they need a player who is going to come in and be their lockdown cornerback. Minkah Fitzpatrick fits that role perfectly and should be the first cornerback off the board when the draft rolls around next April.

Fitzpatrick is not only a great cover corner, but he has extremely soft hands for a defensive back. He has played on some elite defenses during his time at Alabama and would bring incredible experience with him to the next level. The Bengals need to blow this thing up and start over on defense, and Fitzpatrick has the star quality to give them a real anchor in their defensive secondary.
