4. Marvin Jones

One of my personal favorites, Marvin Jones has consistently made the odd play or two in each game this year, but he hasn’t had a big outing yet. In fact, he’s had between one and three catches and between 24 and 42 yards in each of his four games.

It’s certainly nothing spectacular, but in a tough divisional win against the Minnesota Vikings last week, Jones led the team in receiving and it was mainly due to a huge leaping 38-yard gain down the left sideline. He’s making plays, and Matthew Stafford trusts his wideout to come down with the ball.

This week the Lions host the Carolina Panthers and a defense that gave up 30 points against the Patriots last week and allowed Tom Brady to throw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns.

Although Stafford isn’t Brady, the Lions look like one of the best all-round teams in the NFC and their quarterback is playing outstanding football. He has thrown seven touchdowns with only one interception and is dishing the ball out to a ton of players.

The running game finally got going last week, as Ameer Abdullah had just under 100 yards, but the team is still a pass-heavy attack and Jones remains top of the group outside of Golden Tate. Look for Jones to add another big play or two to his resume this weekend.
