8. Jalen Ramsey lays out for the interception

The Jaguars put it on the Steelers today and completed dominated on the defensive side of the ball. They got to Ben Roethlisberger for five total interceptions and made life miserable for him in the pocket. The first interception came off a diving play by second-year cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Roethlisberger tried to telegraph a pass to tight end Vance McDonald and Ramsey read it the entire way. He had inside position and laid out to make the interception. While it looked like McDonald was going to get his hands on the pass, Ramsey took that right away. It’s Ramsey’s second interception on the season, which already matches his total from last season. You can tell he’s improved leaps and bounds from his rookie season.

A Jags team that has a ton of pieces on the defensive side of the ball is finally putting things together. If they keep playing like this, they’ll be a dangerous team the rest of the season.

7. Torrey Smith combos the TD and celebration

Torrey Smith is known for his deep threat ability and that’s exactly why the Eagles signed him to a three-year $15 million deal this offseason. Smith was kept pretty quiet through the first four games of the season, but had a breakout game against the Cardinals today.

Carson Wentz found Smith deep down the middle of the field for the 59-yard score. Smith had just one defender to beat and trotted into the end zone for the score. But like any good touchdown, it didn’t just stop when Smith got into the end zone. Along with four other teammates, he lined up in the batters box, took the pitch from Nelson Agholor and knocked it out of the park.

It was a common theme for the Eagles as they had no problems in a 34-7 win over the Cardinals.
