Derwin James

Defensive Back, Florida State

The Indianapolis Colts actually pulled out a big win on Sunday, as they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime on the day Peyton Manning was honored. The quarterback for the Colts on this day was Jacoby Brissett, who has played well while the Colts wait to get Andrew Luck back. The word is Luck is a few weeks away, and it the Colts tread water, the AFC South is definitely still up for grabs.

Still, this team is going to be drafting pretty early next April, as they just do not have the talent to be a contender in the AFC this season. Luck is going to struggle when he returns, and there is no guarantee what kind of player he will be when he gets back. This could win up being a lost season for Indy, but they should be able to get a standout player in the draft if that winds up being the case.

One player who is going to come off the board in the top-10 picks is Derwin James, a standout defensive back for the Florida State Seminoles. James is by far the best safety in college football and is going to be a good one at the next level. Good secondary play is crucial in the AFC South, as the Colts have to face Marcus Mariota and Deshaun Watson twice a season now that Watson has taken over in Houston.
