Facebook, a website that is supposed to never crash or humanity might collapse into itself, has crashed.

There are few things in our lives as synonymous as Facebook. What started as a trendy thing to do back in the mid-2000s has now become something so powerful that it can be used as a tool to swing elections and change public perception with nothing more than a few clicks.

But not even Facebook is perfect. Fictional Mark Zuckerberg once infamously said that Facebook never crashes, ever. In reality, it actually happened.

But, it did.

Not only that but it appears that Instagram has crashed too. Do we blame the Russians, or do we just take to the streets and start a revolution?

Maybe the platforms are not down for everyone, but for most everyone, the social media platform crashed on Wednesday morning sending the world into a panicked frenzy. But by God, this is the chance for the freedom we’ve all been waiting for.

We’re free from our galactic overlords and can now emerge into the world with a new experience. The experts say that social media is an addiction, so what better thing to have happen to us then to be forcibly removed from the equation by way of a crash?

Go out into the world and experience things with your own eyes. That’s about as #NoFilter as it gets.

BUt the world revolves around the use of social media, whether it’s for work or for pleasure. So when things like this happen, we never ever look at the brighter side of life and instead resort to mass panic and frustration over something that really shouldn’t even exist in our lives.

It’s the end of the world, and now no one is going to be able to live stream it. Humanity’s greatest tragedy, or perfect poetic justice? Without Facebook to tell us, how will we know which one it is?

Stay safe out there.
