NFL Draft 2018: Updated ranking of the top 32 draft prospects entering Week 7
N.C. State has made sure that everyone has taken notice of them at this point. With wins over ranked opponents and plenty of grit, the Wolfpack have taken care of business and one of their own has really raised his draft stock.
Bradley Chubb is one of the most disruptive forces in college football and makes life tough on the quarterback every week. In a year where some of the preseason top EDGE rushers haven’t been on top of their game, Chubb is stealing a bit of the spotlight.
Against Lamar Jackson and Louisville, Chubb had himself a really nice night. He finished the night with six tackles, a sack and two tackles for a loss. He also had two quarterback hurries and made the reigning Heisman Trophy winner consider where he was at all times.
With the success that this program continues to have this year, it starts with a good push up front on the defensive end of the ball. Right now, Chubb is their big talent and he’s shooting up draft boards as a result.
The Michigan offense might be a total train wreck and a complete disaster, but their defense is not. In fact, their defense is keeping them in games and the reason they’re able to be in the Big Ten discussion.
After dropping a critical game against rival Michigan State this past week, the Wolverines will have some bouncing back to do. Before they get ready for Penn State, they will have a road contest against Indiana.
They’ll need to rely on Maurice Hurst again. He has been a monster along the defensive line for Michigan and he had perhaps his biggest performance of the season this past week in the loss to their rivals.
Hurst led his team with eight tackles and two and half for a loss. He found himself in the backfield often on a night where the Spartans ran the ball over and over it seemed. His team might have had a disappointing night, but he had a strong one.
