3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1) at Arizona Cardinals

It’s come to this. The Arizona Cardinals are home dogs to a team that hasn’t made the NFC playoffs in a decade. Yet, swallowing that one point and going with the visiting favorite Tampa Bay Buccaneers seems to be the wise play in this one.

Tampa Bay will have had 10 days to get ready for this game. The Buccaneers lost a rough one on Thursday Night Football last week to the New England Patriots. Had Nick Folk had a clue about how to kick field goals in that game, the Buccaneers are 3-1 and right there with the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South.

Arizona is a shell of its former self. The Cardinals might be 2-3, but both of their wins have come in overtime to bad teams in the Indianapolis Colts and the San Francisco 49ers. They are coming off a terrible performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5.

Adding Adrian Peterson isn’t going to do much more than adding a second-best Peterson to their roster. Patrick Peterson is better. Maybe the Cardinals put up a fight in this one, but the Buccaneers are the better team. Tampa Bay might have to win by a touchdown, as field goals are just so hard.
