Josh Rosen

Quarterback, UCLA

The Los Angeles Chargers lost their first four games of the 2017 NFL season, and many had already written them off for dead. However, they have strung together two solid wins in a row, and now have people thinking they may be able to make a run towards a Wildcard. They are a long way from there, but after beating the Oakland Raiders on the road in Week 6, you have to be liking the vibe that new head coach Anthony Lynn is bringing to the organization.

With their first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Chargers should make a move for the future. Quarterback Philip Rivers is still a solid signal-caller, but his years as a legitimate threat at the position are coming to an end. He likely only has a few good seasons left, which means the Chargers should take advantage of this quarterback-heavy draft and select his eventual replacement.

That player could wind up being Josh Rosen, who plays college ball at nearby UCLA. Rosen still has some eligibility left with the Bruins, but all signs point to him leaving school early. If he does wind up with the Chargers, he will get to learn under one of the better preparers this game has ever seen, and hopefully be ready to take over under center when Rivers finally decides to hang them up.
