Another major match for Jinder Mahal

Okay, so bear with this part: This isn’t so much a fan perspective as it is for WWE themselves. It’s obvious they are going down with the ship with Jinder Mahal. Whether you prefer it or not, they see money in him. This is an opportunity, in their eyes, to see that their investment was correct.

They have pitted him against arguably the biggest star that the company has right now. Having Mahal go against Lesnar is a big opportunity for them. It’s also a big opportunity for Mahal if he wins. They have a huge show in India planned for two months, so chances are, they are going to want him to look good. Even in a losing effort, Jinder will certainly do just that in a match against Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar is a world-renowned superstar. If you’re going to try and make Jinder a star, there might be no better man — besides John Cena — than Brock Lesnar to have him go against. This is the safest possible choice, and probably a better route than going to the well against Nakamura again. SmackDown Live also teased a feud with AJ Styles, which certainly has some play. But in order to establish the road to WrestleMania, it might be best for Styles to get his licks in on Mahal after Survivor Series when this match is done and over with.

WWE has done a lot to try and ensure they get their return on investment with Jinder Mahal as WWE Champion. Lining him up against Brock Lesnar may very well be the best way to do it, with what’s in store in the very near future.
