Kendall Joseph

LB, Clemson

The Clemson Tigers were the first victim to fall pray to a chaotic weekend of college football. The program suffered an unexpected loss on the road to Syracuse and it was a night that they will definitely want to forget.

For Kendall Joseph, it was a good performance in a loss. It’s hard to focus on how individual players stand out when all anyone can talk about is the fact they lost to Syracuse, but he was a bright spot.

Joseph led the team with 12 tackles and was everywhere as he tried to help keep his team in it defensively. His stock is continuing to shape up nicely as he wraps up anyone that gets in his way each week.

As the Tigers will look to rebound from the loss, leaders like Joseph will be instrumental along the way. He leads by example with his play and the rest of the defense tends to fall in line. It was a bad week for the program but a good week for his draft stock.

Courtland Sutton

WR, SMU

Courtland Sutton got to enjoy a bye week during a week of chaos for the rest of the NCAA. What was good for Sutton was that he is currently in a stretch playing his best football when he needs to for his draft stock.

After the slow start to the year because of teams making him the sole focus each week, Sutton has started to get the ball rolling to say the least. He’s had consecutive monster performances and a third will push him up the draft boards quickly.

With his immense size and ability to haul in any type of pass, teams are certainly going to fall in love with him. He plays with a level of grace that will instantly have scouts drawing comparisons to other top receivers in the NFL.

Right now, he’s the man and has a chance to put SMU on his back and help them climb up the standings. A big road game is on tap for the program this week against Cincinnati. Will he make it three straight great performances?
