Bryce Love

RB, Stanford

The Stanford Cardinal continue to run all over every team that gets in their way. With a legitimate chance to win their division and possibly the conference, the Cardinal are playing their best football at the right time.

Perhaps the biggest reason is running back Bryce Love. The Heisman candidate continues to show off his power and speed. Each week seems to be a new highlight session for him and he made the Oregon Ducks pay in Week 7.

He finished the night with 147 yards on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns to go with it. His 67-yard touchdown showed that burst of speed that makes him all the more enticing of running back prospects.

Of all the players to have their stock rise this year, Love certainly is near the top. So long as he keeps up the huge performances, he will push Saquon Barkley for the Heisman Trophy this season.

Christian Kirk

WR, Texas A&M

Somehow, Christian Kirk tied for the lead in receptions with two in the Aggies’ win over Florida this week. It wasn’t a game for passing and Kirk certainly won’t have his draft stock affected by 44 yards on two catches.

In fact, the yards per reception shows off his ability to stretch the field. That is going to be the biggest attribute for getting him drafted ahead of the other receivers that are in this particular class.

There are plenty of receivers that are possession receivers that will be available but Kirk offers the ability to stretch the field is well. Having a receiver that can take the top off of a defense makes life easier for everyone else.

Kirk’s overall numbers probably aren’t going to stand out from this season and that isn’t his fault as stats certainly do not tell the whole story. What matters is the production when he does get the ball in his hands. He’s made big plays when it gets to him, the passing game has just struggled to do so.
