New York Jets (+3) at Miami Dolphins

I remember very well the first time these two AFC East rivals played this year. The reason for that is it was one of my worst picks of the year so far. I’ll usually have one game that completely blows up in my face. Week 3 with the Miami Dolphins laying six points at home to the New York Jets was the loss no one but Todd Bowles saw coming.

New York shut out the Dolphins in Week 3 and have found itself at 3-3 on the year. The Jets were a team that many thought wouldn’t win a game this season. They’ve already overachieved. New York could be 4-2 if the officials didn’t get in the way last week versus the New England Patriots.

The reason I’m taking the Jets getting three points on the road is that they are coming off a tough loss in the division while Miami is coming off a thrilling win no one saw coming over Atlanta. Las Vegas thinks these two teams are evenly matched, but New York will play with more heart for all four quarters in this game.

It’s hard to play with a ton of heart for 60 minutes with Jay Cutler at quarterback. A rivalry game with a fourth win on the season before Halloween on the line. What’s not to like about this game? This might be the best game between the Dolphins and the Jets since the Dan Marino fake spike. Could we see a Josh McCown fake spike on a backdoor cover? Please!
