6. Devontae Booker, Denver

Role: Bye week filler with potential for Flex appeal

It just wouldn’t quite be right if I mentioned Charles without also bringing up Booker. The second-year running back played in his second game of the season last weekend and picked up a role as a pass-catching back, grabbing four receptions for 78 yards in the Broncos’ loss to the Giants.

Much like Charles, you’re probably going to pick up Booker if you’re desperate for an immediate pop in your lineup and think he can provide it. Trevor Siemean has been much improved this season, but he’s still fairly limited as a passer.

If Booker manages to carve out a consistent third down role with the Broncos, he could produce enough to warrant flex consideration on any given week. Granted, the situation is muddy with three very talented running backs in tow in Denver, but it seems that Charles is the one with the most confusing role — Anderson now seems to be the starter for sure, and Booker seems like the first choice as a pass-catcher.
